What About the Beta?

So I was working on a whole beta series, but it suddenly stopped. Things have been a little hectic recently, and along with that, I’ve just not felt much interest in WoW. I did play up until Southern Barrens, and while Cataclysm is looking really great, for some reason it’s just not capturing me. Perhaps at a later date.

I can tell you that Blizzard decided to change the lovely worgen models into a dated, low-polygon piece of junk. In doing so, they completely broke the look of current worgen on the beta because they hadn’t implemented all the faces or hair styles (if you could call them that). They also disabled creation of new worgen. Well played! Before I started feeling less into WoW, I started feeling less into making a worgen on release. This was probably one of the most unnecessary, stupid things I’ve ever seen Blizzard do.

Other than that, I have tried the beta on my home computer now, and the water looks pretty stunning. This is particularly noticeable in the Goblin starting area. Also, sun shafts are a fun addition.
